Job summary

Trinidad Benham Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Lead for 1st shift to coordinate and drive daily manufacturing activities in packaging operations. You will guide a team, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and work with Plant Management to meet goals.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage downtime, and effective training of staff while following SQF guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and fast-paced production experience.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees and communicate clearly.
• Flexibility for overtime and prioritization under pressure.
• Plan, organize workload, and manage time effectively.
• Strong coaching/mentoring skills for direct reports.
• Understanding of mechanical equipment and GMP/SQF basics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute production activities as directed by Production Manager.
• Provide leadership to packaging team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Set production goals with Plant Management and communicate standards to staff.
• Minimize downtime by managing machine resources and start-up operations.
• Train new hires and coach existing staff; address questions and issues.
• Maintain SQF guidelines, safety rules, and SOPs; complete required paperwork.
• Escalate issues to Production Manager and optimize staffing levels.
