Job summary

Pratt Industries, Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a 1st Assistant on the 1st shift to support production presses. You will help with setup, operation, cleanup, and quality checks, while supporting continuous improvements and safe, efficient operations.

You will monitor board quality, assist machine operators, and help meet production schedules aimed at cost, quality, and service goals. A high school diploma or GED and a willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months’ experience in a similar role.
• Lift Truck Operator License may be required.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform calculations for various metrics.
• Standing, walking, and other physical tasks required.

Responsibilities

• Safety & compliance: adhere to safety protocols and maintain good housekeeping.
• Quality assurance: monitor board quality and address defects.
• Operational support: assist machine operator to ensure smooth production and report quality problems.
• Training & development: cross-train on machines and equipment as needed.
• Reporting & maintenance: complete reports and submit maintenance work orders.
