Job summary

Pratt Industries in San Antonio is seeking a 1st Assistant for 2nd shift to support production presses through setup, operation, cleanup, and process improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting production schedules. You will assist operators, monitor board quality, and help keep the line running smoothly in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; corrugating industry experience helps.
• 6 months’ experience in a similar role is beneficial.
• Basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Ability to use measuring tools and read product specifications.
• Lift Truck Operator License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safety and compliance: follow safety protocols and keep area tidy.
• Quality assurance: monitor board quality and address defects.
• Operational efficiency: assist operator to maintain smooth machine operations.
• Training: cross-train on machines and equipment.
• Reporting: complete reports and raise maintenance requests as needed.
• Flexibility and teamwork: collaborate to meet production goals.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
