Job summary

Central Plains Steel in Wichita, KS is seeking a Press Brake Operator for full-time third shift (Mon-Thu, 8:30pm–7:00am) at Plant 2. You will form parts by bending with the press brake, collaborating with laser operators, parts breakdown, and shipping to meet Safety, Quality, Productivity and Delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Experience with metal forming and press brake processes.
• Must meet Level 4 (Heavy Work) of a Personal Capacity Profile.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow blueprints and work orders.
• Set up press brake, attach tooling, and secure fixtures.
• Measure parts with calipers and micrometers to spec.
• Maintain safety and quality standards during processing.
• Complete work order documentation and report issues.
