Job summary

Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking a 1st Shift Shop Machinist to support the maintenance department by machining parts for various greenhouse areas. You will work with milling machines, lathes, drills, and other precision equipment, ensuring parts are produced to exact drawings and ready for installation.

The role requires basic computer skills, comfort with occasional work at heights, and the ability to read and interpret diagrams to recreate items precisely.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work at heights up to 6 ft regularly.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machine, lathe, drill press and other precision equipment.
• Ensure an inventory of parts to shorten downtime across the facility.
• Read drawings and recreate exact items from drawings.
• Repair and/or replicate machined parts.
• Update computer systems to view and close work orders.
