Job summary

Direct Start is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a 1st shift in a job shop environment. You will set up and operate lathes and mills to produce precision parts, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

Strong problem-solving skills and safety discipline are essential. We value candidates with 3+ years of machinist experience, who can work independently or as part of a team, and who are eager to learn new technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machines or parts, ensuring minimal downtime
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of orders
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
