Job summary

Mate Precision Technologies, headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota, is seeking a 1st Shift Machinist to join our precision metalworking team. You will set up and operate CNC and conventional machines, reading blueprints and GD&T requirements, while inspecting your own work with micrometers and calipers.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

In this role, you’ll set up and operate CNC and conventional machines and machining centers to produce precision components while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery expectations.
You’ll work with blueprints and GD&T requirements, inspect your own work using precision measuring tools, and troubleshoot issues to help keep production running smoothly.
You’ll also collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement efforts such as 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines to produce precision components.
Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; ensure adherence to GD&T specs.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes and support 5S/Kaizen initiatives.
