Job summary

United Alloy in Union, Ohio is seeking an experienced painter/assembler to prep and assemble fabricated components and materials in the powder coat line, adhering to customer quality requirements and our manufacturing philosophies.

The role emphasizes performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency, with a 5:00am–3:00pm Monday–Thursday schedule and overtime as needed. Join a team that values safety, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
  • Previous experience with powder paint application or processes.
  • Attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and use measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Paint 100% of assigned hours per shift.
  • Apply powder coat application techniques correctly.
  • Adjust paint gun settings as needed to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Perform PM on paint line equipment.
  • Ensure paint thickness and aesthetic meet customer requirements.

SUMMARY:

This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

HOURS:

Monday - Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm, mandated overtime based on business need.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Willing and able to paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment at UA
  • Understands and can execute proper powder coat application techniques
  • Understands paint gun settings and can regulate as necessary
  • Is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to maintain equipment
  • Understands and can execute the required PM to paint line equipment
  • Is able to paint efficiently and effectively to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
  • Is able to use equipment to check and verify paint thickness
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
  • This individual must have previous experience or exposure to powder paint application and processes
  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must possess manual dexterity
  • Must possess hand/eye coordination
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
