Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a 1st shift plant operations worker to prep and assemble fabricated components in line with customer quality requirements. You will apply powder coating, operate related equipment, and help maintain paint line efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity with opportunities for hands-on training and a path to advance within the manufacturing team.

Qualifications

  • Exposure to powder paint application and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Willingness to work 1st shift (5:00am–3:00pm) and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Paint 100% of assigned hours per shift.
  • Apply powder coat using proper techniques and gun settings.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to maintain equipment.
  • Complete PMs on paint line equipment.
  • Verify paint thickness and finish to customer specs.
  • Follow UA and ISO requirements.

SUMMARY:This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

Reports To:Operations Supervisor

Shift:1st Shift 5:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Thursday (OT as required)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Willing and able to paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment at UA
  • Understands and can execute proper powder coat application techniques
  • Understands paint gun settings and can regulate as necessary
  • Is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to maintain equipment
  • Understands and can execute the required PM to paint line equipment
  • Is able to paint efficiently and effectively to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
  • Is able to use equipment to check and verify paint thickness

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
  • This individual must have previous experience or exposure to powder paint application and processes
  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must possess manual dexterity
  • Must possess hand/eye coordination
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
