Job summary

Elanco Manufacturing Fort Dodge is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (Sat–Wed, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain high-speed packaging and fill-line equipment across a complex campus to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and clear communication are essential. Experience with GMP environments, cGMP documentation, and electrical systems is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with GMP environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on packaging/fill line equipment, capping machines, bioreactors, fermenters, and related support systems.
• Complete accurate electronic work orders and maintenance documentation in compliance with cGMP standards.
• Support fabrication and repair work including welding, grinding, sawing, and metalwork as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues and train others.
