Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to perform routine assembly tasks onsite in Burnsville, MN. The candidate will inspect components, prepare shipments, and participate in continuous improvement activities, working with basic hand tools.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED and U.S. Person status.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. Person status required and defined by policy.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.
• Proven ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for quality product standards with no defects.
• Meet customer deadlines and expectations.
• Comply with applicable elements of quality systems.
• Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement plans/events.
• Perform inspection of parts, coating, labeling/boxing, and preparation for shipment.
• Check parts for cracks, loose connections, faulty bonds, and assembly issues.
• Record test results and route products for rework or salvage as needed.
• Set up and use equipment such as drills, presses, and rework tools.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and comply with EHS rules.
