Job summary

Alfa Laval's Richmond facility is seeking a 1st shift Warehouse Worker to pick and deliver materials, support workflow, and maintain safety and efficiency on the shop floor. You will follow SOPs, use PPE, and report deviations as part of a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in materials, with preference for forklift and overhead crane experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Materials.
• Basic desk top computer skills.
• Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick and deliver necessary materials to workstations or locations.
• Address internal department requests for material delivery to maintain workflow.
• Wear and use PPE as required (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, uniform).
• Receive daily work assignments from Team Leader/Manager and follow SOPs.
• Assist Team Lead/Manager with administrative tasks and reporting.
• Report deviations to Digital Status Boards and update leadership.
• Participate in Daily Status Board Meetings and propose solutions.
• Cross-train in multiple pick units to provide flexible support.
• Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
