Job summary

Final Mile in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Material Operator to accurately pick orders and handle receiving, put-away, loading, unloading and shipping. You will operate material handling equipment and follow procedures to meet safety, security and productivity standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year with electric pallet jacks or 1–3 years with other equipment, RF scanner and WMS familiarity preferred, plus good math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• 1 year with electric pallet jack, or 1–3 years with other material handling equipment.
• RF Scanner and WMS familiarity preferred; ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders and receive/put away product.
• Load, unload and ship items to meet safety and productivity standards.
• Operate material handling equipment and communicate progress to supervisors.

Job description

The Material Operator, using material handling equipment, is responsible for the accurate order picking, receiving, put-away, loading, unloading and/or shipping of product to meet company standards including safety, security, damage free, and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• Previous experience with material operating equipment (minimum 1 year with electric pallet jack and/or a minimum of 1-3 years with other material operating equipment).
• Previous experience using RF Scanner and WMS systems preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and/or manager as to progress in tasks/functions being performed.
• Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication.

Pay: $20/hr
