Job summary

Hub Group is seeking a Material Operator to efficiently pick orders and handle materials at our McDonough, GA facility. The role requires operating material handling equipment, receiving, put-away, loading, unloading and shipping to meet safety and productivity standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of pallet jack experience or 1–3 years on other equipment, and familiarity with RF scanners and WMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• 1 year minimum with electric pallet jack or 1–3 years with other material handling equipment.
• RF Scanner and WMS experience preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Read and write legibly.
• Ability to communicate progress to coworkers, leads, supervisors, and/or manager as to progress in tasks/functions being performed.
• Ability to perform basic calculations (adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication).

The Material Operator, using material handling equipment, is responsible for the accurate order picking, receiving, put‑away, loading, unloading and/or shipping of product to meet company standards including safety, security, damage free, and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• Previous experience with material operating equipment (minimum 1 year with electric pallet jack and/or a minimum of 1‑3 years with other material operating equipment).
• Previous experience using RF Scanner and WMS systems preferred.
