Job summary

Hub Group is seeking a Material Operator to support order picking, receiving, put-away, loading, unloading and shipping using material handling equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and productivity to meet company standards.

You will follow procedures, operate RF scanners and WMS systems, and communicate with team leads to ensure timely task completion. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1+ year of equipment experience.

• Perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders and move products using material handling equipment.
• Receive, put-away, load, unload and/or ship products to meet safety and productivity standards.
• Maintain safety, security and damage-free handling of all items.
• Follow established procedures and use RF scanners and WMS systems to track inventory.

The Material Operator, using material handling equipment, is responsible for the accurate order picking, receiving, put‑away, loading, unloading and/or shipping of product to meet company standards including safety, security, damage‑free, and productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• Previous experience with material operating equipment (minimum 1 year with electric pallet jack and/or a minimum of 1‑3 years with other material operating equipment).
• Previous experience using RF Scanner and WMS systems preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to communicate with co‑workers, leads, supervisors, and/or manager as to progress in tasks/functions being performed.
• Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication.

Pay

Up to $20.25/hr
