Job summary

Trane Technologies in Minnesota is seeking an on-site Team Leader to help manage manpower, train staff, and deploy operational excellence tools across production lines.

You will coach teams in Lean, 5S, problem solving, and A-3s, run MDI boards, adjust staffing, and ensure quality objectives while maintaining safety and documentation.

This role requires clear communication, leadership, and adaptability, plus willingness to lift up to 40 pounds and follow standard work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years leadership experience.
• Associate degree preferred; not required.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration across levels.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Participate in TLDP and use basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve safety and quality issues.
• Schedule and manage designated departments/lines.
• Coach employees in lean tools and activities (5S, Lean, JDI, 9Step, A-3s).
• Run MDI boards to standard and adjust manpower as needed.
• Assist, coach and train employees; follow standard work and document records.
• Support QMS and strive to meet quality objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
