Job summary

Smithers-Oasis is seeking a Production Worker for 1st shift at our Stow Street location in Kent, OH. Operate machinery, assemble and package products, and help meet daily schedules while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, add and subtract.
• Follows detailed safety practices; understands safety precautions.
• May direct and train others on occasion.
• Works with average weight materials; standing and walking; may require bending.
• Extended hours may be required to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operates machinery following safety procedures.
• Assembles, fabricates and packages products under supervision.
• Sorts, inspects, labels and marks products to ensure quality.
• Checks machinery daily for malfunctions and reports issues.
• Maintains high speed to meet daily production schedules.
• Keeps work area clean and safe per procedures.
• Works with team to complete production schedules.
