Job summary

Quality Packaging (Qual Pac) in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap tunnels, forklift components, and related warehouse systems. The role requires good communication and the ability to read schematics and work orders.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document records, and ensure safety compliance. The shift is 1st: 7:00am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma; 5 years equivalent experience.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with 480V 3-phase motors and high-voltage wiring preferred.
Multi-craft maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and work orders.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Document maintenance records, inspections, and repairs.
Select repair parts and update parts records.
Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
Maintain and repair batteries and chargers.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Read schematics and equipment manuals to perform maintenance.
Inspect machines and identify short-term and long-term repairs.
