Job summary

Quality Packaging (Qual Pac) in Grand Prairie, Texas seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair form-fill-seal equipment, shrink wrap, forklifts, and general warehousing systems. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, good communication, and a commitment to safety.

The position offers a 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00am) with pay between $34.00 and $36.00 per hour, plus opportunities to work on diverse equipment and cross-functional teams within our longstanding packaging

Qualifications

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors).
Multi-craft maintenance and repair across electrical and mechanical systems.
Willingness to work under pressure to fix equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.).
Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Select repair parts and update parts records.
Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding, brazing, soldering.
Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, and fabrication issues.
Read schematics and equipment manuals to guide maintenance work.
Inspect machines and develop repair lists for short/long term fixes.
