Job summary

Quality Packaging (Qual Pac) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee preventative maintenance on form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap tunnels, and related warehouse systems. The role requires strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, commuting to the Charlotte, NC site, and a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of maintenance experience, proficiency with CMMS software, and the ability to read schematics and diagnose issues quickly to keep production

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, 5 years equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Experience with CMMS software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order systems).
• Understanding encoders and equipment timing.
• Knowledge of servo drives and motors.
• Variable frequency drive operation and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment.
• Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Select repair parts and update parts records.
• Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, including welding or soldering.
• Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Read schematics and equipment manuals to perform maintenance.
• Inspect machines and develop repair lists for short/long-term fixes.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and keep work areas clean.
