Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, and other equipment. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems to improve reliability and minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on expertise, ability to read schematics and OEM manuals, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience or practical training via technical education or apprenticeship.
• Working knowledge of CNC machines or similar production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and precision-measurement tools.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices including Lockout/Tagout and guarding.
• Clear communication with maintenance, engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical issues and implement fixes.
• Perform inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Read electrical schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams and OEM manuals.
• Troubleshoot components like sensors, motors, drives, and PLC systems.
• Identify root causes and implement repairs or improvements.
• Support installations, relocations and continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate status and repairs to supervisors, engineers and operators.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure tools and parts are available.
• Follow safety standards including LOTO and electrical-safety requirements.
