Job summary

Dairy Challenge in Utah seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment, utilities, and systems, following safety procedures.

You will read schematics, support installation of new equipment, assist operators, complete work orders, document repairs, and stay current with new technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade/technical schooling preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
• 2–4 years of maintenance, electrical, HVAC or related experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with equipment such as lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, and process control.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of equipment.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
• Document repairs and required information clearly per SOPs.
