Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment and utilities. You will support new equipment installation and the preventive maintenance program implementation.

The role requires troubleshooting with machine operators to minimize downtime and adherence to GMP, safety, and sanitation standards. On-call and weekend shifts are included, with required safety training and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of maintenance in a process manufacturing environment.
• 2-year mechanical education certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in compliance with safety procedures.
• Assist the installation of new equipment and support preventive maintenance program implementation.
• Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all repairs are documented.
• Follow DFA GMP and safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
• Attend required training (Safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF).
• Work schedule includes on call and weekend shifts.
