Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor for its Napoleon, OH facility. You will lead the maintenance team to ensure safe and reliable operation of all equipment, coordinating preventive and reactive maintenance with production.

The role requires a supervisory background in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. Relocation assistance and a 3K sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience within plastic manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees.
• Forklift and Crane Certification or ability to obtain is required.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or industrial maintenance certifications preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Experience in maintenance field, at least 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and communicates daily maintenance tasks based on the highest priority needs and ensures their timely and efficient completion by Maintenance Technicians.
• Reviews compliance to planned work orders through maintenance management software system and reports status updates to management.
• Maintains up to date maintenance data, including records of maintenance/repair activities and purchase orders for spare parts.
• Ensures spare parts lists are available for all equipment and that installations are reliable.
• Maintains contact with production staff to ensure proper equipment function and timely maintenance.
• Develops and implements standardized maintenance repair techniques and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Plans and schedules preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Addresses safety concerns and enforces safety regulations for maintenance staff and contractors.
• Implements, reviews and approves safety permits for equipment maintenance.
• Ensures new employees receive necessary safety/technical training for ramp-up.
• Oversees site contractors and ensures adherence to safety/operational procedures.
• Responds to weekend calls and organizes weekly schedules for time off, weekend and shift coverage.
• Maintains attendance and payroll data and communicates via shift handovers and reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
