Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Mechanic to assist with preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment at our facility. You will work with Process Technicians to diagnose issues and implement durable fixes to production assets.

The role requires 5+ years in a fast-paced industrial setting, ability to read prints, and strong electrical/hydraulic skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in a fast-paced industrial setting; extrusion/injection molding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, drawings, and prints.
• Strong electrical and hydraulic skills with tool-handling capability.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs machine components to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots systems to identify causes of failures and suggests repairs.
• Collaborates with Process Technicians and Operators to understand failures.
• Designs, fabricates, and welds components or fixtures for equipment.
• Records malfunctions and adjustments accurately.
• Conducts test runs to verify safe operation and quality compliance.
• Performs analyses and calculations; recommends changes to equipment or methods.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of maintenance tools and areas.
• Repairs building/grounds equipment and fixtures as needed for safety.
• Performs planned preventive maintenance and inspections; updates schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
