Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to support preventive maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of related industrial experience.

Ideal candidates will have strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills, familiarity with OSHA regulations, and the ability to read hydraulic/electrical prints and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years related experience in a fast-paced industrial setting.
• Experience as a multi-skilled technician in extrusion or injection molding is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be a self-starter and work with relatively little supervision.
• Strong reading of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical prints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs machine components to ensure safe operation of production equipment.
• Troubleshoots systems to determine causes of failure and recommends repair solutions.
• Collaborates with Process Technicians and Operators to understand failures and fabrication needs.
• Designs, fabricates, and welds machine components or fixtures for proper functionality.
• Records machine malfunctions and adjustments as required.
• Performs test runs of machine adjustments to ensure safe operation and quality.
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of maintenance tools and areas.
• Repairs building and grounds equipment to ensure employee safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
