Job summary

Tyson Foods in Humboldt, IA seeks an experienced production supervisor to lead all production operations on the facility floor. You will manage production supervisors, schedules, product rotation, CCP verification, and safety committee oversight. Relocation is eligible for qualified candidates.

The role requires strong leadership, HACCP knowledge, and excellent communication with all levels of management. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with processing floor operations preferred.
• HACCP certification and understanding of HACCP principles; ability to perform CCP monitoring verification preferred.
• Knowledge of fresh meats processing preferred.
• Must be able to access all production floor areas; tolerate environmental conditions; temperatures range from 28 °F to 45 °F.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of management.
• Team leadership, problem solving, and motivation for special projects.
• Some travel is required as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections using fixed ladders, stairs steps, etc.
• Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility. The temperature in most of the areas range from 28 ° -45 ° Fahrenheit.

Supervisory

Responsible for all production operations at the facility. This includes managing all production supervisors' department s, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This role includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve in any deficient areas.

Travel

Some travel is required as needed.
