Job summary

TemperPack in Lansing, MI is seeking a General Laborer for 1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm) in the Manufacturing department. You will operate production lines, assist with boxing, and help maintain safety and quality across the line.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing PPE. Prior production experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Stand for 10–12 hours daily in a production setting.
• Must wear PPE for entire shifts and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate production lines and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Keep production flowing and minimize downtime.
• Operate band saws, rip saws, baler, and platting/plussing equipment as needed.
• Build boxes using tape gun and staple gun.
• Assist with month-end inventory checks.
• Maintain area safety and housekeeping; pursue continuous process improvement.
• Perform basic math for unit conversions and measurements.
