Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is hiring for a 1st Shift Fabricator in Hobart, IN. The role operates fabrication and machine shop equipment to manufacture structural components for industrial automation projects.

This position requires reading blueprints, measuring with precision, and maintaining quality per the QMS. The ideal candidate will read specifications, set up machines, and perform basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal.
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to verify machine accuracy.
• Detect workpiece defects and machine malfunctions.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece.
• Perform basic machine maintenance such as oiling machines or dies.
• Follow Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Ensure sustainable process outputs to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
