Job summary

Banner Engineering in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a 1st Shift Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot production lines and equipment, providing primary technical support during the shift to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

You will work with sensors, controllers, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation, focusing on rapid diagnosis and corrective actions while adhering to safety standards. The role offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Microsoft Office Suite Experience, including Excel for data logging and reporting.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during 1st shift.
Ability to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and support instruments and control systems used in industrial manufacturing processes.
Work with sensors, control valves, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, motion control systems, and related automation equipment.
Provide real-time troubleshooting and repair of electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems on production equipment.
Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, sensor, motion control, and electrical issues.
Document troubleshooting steps and maintain up-to-date records in CMMS.
