Job summary

Banner Engineering in Minneapolis, MN, seeks an Electrical Technician to support the RMA team from concept through production, performing tests and analyzing results under the Sr. Director of Manufacturing – Connectivity.

You will handle cord set soldering, fixture creation, test system setup and maintenance, and failure analysis. You’ll work with engineers to implement production improvements, document findings, and train operators, while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Systems Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology or related field.
• 0-5 years of experience
• Experience with basic hand tools
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies
• General soldering processes
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Strong communication using Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Production validation and troubleshooting, test system setup and maintenance
• Perform failure analysis and repair
• Create cords and fixtures for soldering and validation
• Set up, train operators on equipment and processes
• Collaborate with engineering to implement production improvements
• Conduct periodic calibration/verification of equipment
• Document processes and communicate findings to stakeholders
