Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Nazareth, PA facility. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems to maximize uptime in a heavy industrial cement/aggregates environment.

You will work with low- and medium-voltage systems, PLCs, VFDs, and process control equipment, adhering to MSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards while supporting continuous plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance in an industrial setting.
  • Hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems up to 4160 volts.
  • Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase power systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC-based control systems.
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and automation failures.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Technician installs, inspects, repairs, adjusts, and calibrates electrical, power, and field instrumentation systems in a heavy industrial cement and aggregates environment. This hands‑on role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring strict adherence to corporate and regulatory safety standards while working with low- and medium-voltage systems, automation, and process control equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Install, verify operation, inspect, repair, adjust, and calibrate field instrumentation devices, process control instruments, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Apply electrical theory and practical skills to work safely on low- and medium-voltage electrical systems up to 4160 volts.

  • Install, trace, and terminate power and control wiring, including conduit and tray cable runs, to support plant operations.

  • Perform ground checks on industrial motors and grounding circuits and accurately document all test results.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), automation systems, and instrumentation to minimize production downtime.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems in heavy industrial and cement/aggregate production plants.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, and control systems to ensure reliable and safe operation.

  • Adhere strictly to company safety policies, MSHA regulations, NFPA 70E standards, and environmental requirements while performing all tasks.

  • Support production by responding promptly to equipment issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to plan, prioritize, and complete maintenance activities efficiently.

  • Participate in on‑call rotations and work alternate shifts, holidays, or overtime as needed to support continuous plant operations.

Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance in an industrial environment.

  • Hands‑on experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems up to 4160 volts.

  • Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting, including three‑phase power systems.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC‑based control systems.

  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems.

  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and automation failures, including diagnosing and resolving issues.

  • Competence in preventive maintenance on electrical and industrial equipment.

  • Ability to perform and document ground checks on industrial motors and grounding circuits.

  • Familiarity with pneumatics in an industrial maintenance context.

  • Commitment to following safety policies and regulatory requirements, including MSHA and NFPA 70E standards.

  • Comfort working at heights and in a heavy industrial environment with moving machinery and variable weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Nazareth, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

Union offerings, $180 weekend offering when on call. Contractual pay increases. Pay increases up to $45hr.Unlimited OT. Benefits paid for and 401k matched.
