Courier Connection Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized 1st Shift Courier Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch independent contract drivers (owner-operators).

You will ensure pickups and deliveries meet schedules, communicate with drivers and customers, and document activities in the dispatch system. The role requires flexibility to support changing business needs, with a 6:00 AM–3:00 PM shift and Monday–Friday schedule.

• Previous dispatch, courier, transportation logistics, or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Dispatch Operations: Schedule and dispatch contract drivers to pickup and delivery locations while meeting established customer schedules and service requirements.
• Route Coordination: Assign and manage driver routes, monitor delivery progress, and adjust assignments as needed to maintain service levels and operational efficiency.
• Driver Communication: Communicate pickup and delivery instructions, shipment details, schedule changes, and other critical information to drivers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, provide shipment status updates, and address service requests professionally and promptly.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve delays, missed pickups, delivery exceptions, driver availability issues, and other operational challenges.
• Urgent Requests: Coordinate last-minute shipments, unscheduled client requests, and time-sensitive deliveries while balancing existing dispatch priorities.
• System Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of dispatch assignments, pickup and delivery status, customer communications, and shipment exceptions in the dispatch system.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor driver progress and service performance to help ensure pickups and deliveries meet established commitments.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispatch, customer service, and management to communicate operational issues and maintain consistent service quality.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations and customer requirements.
