Venteon seeks a 1st Shift Controls Engineer in Elkton, MI to lead electrical control system design and integration for automotive manufacturing. You will program PLCs, HMIs, and robotics, while supporting startup, debugging and performance goals for new equipment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years hands-on experience, with strong knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc, Motoman, and AB platforms, in a fast-paced plant environment.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on controls engineering experience.

Mansioni

Lead electrical controls engineering to safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery.
Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for new and retrofit equipment.
Program PLCs, HMIs, and network devices for new equipment installations.
Develop motor drive configurations for servo, VFD, and DC systems.
Develop and support robotic programming.
Support startup, debug and performance objectives for new equipment.
Utilize PLC, HMI, motion control and CAD software.
Evaluate and apply new technology as required.
Ensure conformance to specifications during manufacturing, installation and testing.
Troubleshoot systems across facilities.
Support new model launches and improvement teams.
Participate in cross-functional and program management activities.
Optimize transfer press curves and identify cost savings.
Engage in continuous improvement and floor-level work as needed.
