Job summary
Venteon is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for our Canton, MI client site. The role requires five or more years of PLC programming experience and strong expertise with Rockwell/AB, Siemens, and Automation Direct platforms.
You will design, implement, and support automated control systems across manufacturing lines, including motion control and drive systems. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and possess excellent teamwork and problem-solving
Qualifications
- Five+ years' experience in PLC programming.
- Experience with Rockwell/AB PLC, Siemens and Automation Direct is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ladders, IO, and motion control.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Lead design reviews and coordinate with customers on specifications.
- Develop BOMs and project timelines.
- Perform testing, commissioning, and on-site support for controls projects.
- Troubleshoot PLC logic and drive systems to optimize performance.
- Maintain documentation and spare parts planning.
