Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Montpelier, IN is seeking a Cold Forming Operator for the 1st shift (6am-2pm). You will operate multiple cold forming and parts forming machines, perform adjustments, and conduct catch pan quality checks to ensure part integrity.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read measuring tools like micrometers and calipers. The role includes forklift/PIV responsibilities and overtime when needed; training is provided,

What You'll Do

As a Cold Former Operator , you'll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You'll get to:

• Operate multiple cold forming and parts forming machines
• Perform adjustments and replacement to maintain a quality part
• Perform catch pan quality checks
• Separating dies and inserts
• Move scrap and finished parts from machinery
• Operator forklift/PIV to move tubs and raw material as needed
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills to enter data and look up job information
• Background in mechanical work/field is a plus
• Ability to read measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and related equipment
• Must be able to work overtime
• Responsible for supplying own tools/micrometers
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 5-25 pounds regularly and occasionally 25-65 pounds with assistance .
