Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Accounting Specialist- Livestock Clerk in Ottumwa, Iowa. This full-time, first-shift role supports the Accounting department with daily and weekly livestock accounting tasks and collaboration with producers and carriers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong Excel skills, and prior accounting or office experience, with meticulous attention to detail and good attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel.
• Previous accounting/office experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates).

Responsibilities

• Daily and Weekly Balance of Hogs delivered.
• Auditing livestock tickets.
• Verifying daily and weekly payments to producers and carriers.
• Communication with livestock producers and carriers.
• Perform facility misc. livestock accounting functions.
• Crosstrain on roles within the accounting department.
• Meet departmental deadlines as required.
• Complete special projects as needed or requested.
• Full-time, Saturday work as required.
• Perform various other tasks as needed to ensure efficiency in the accounting department.
