JBS in Ottumwa, Iowa is seeking an Accounting Specialist- Livestock Clerk to join the Accounting department. The role focuses on daily balance of hog deliveries, auditing livestock tickets, and verifying payments to producers and carriers, with cross-team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, fluent English, strong Excel and accounting/office experience, and a keen eye for detail. This is a full-time, first-shift position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required, both written and verbal.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Previous accounting/office experience preferred.
• Attention to details & accuracy a must.
• Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates).

Responsabilités

• Balance hog deliveries daily and weekly.
• Audit livestock tickets.
• Verify daily and weekly payments to producers and carriers.
• Communicate with livestock producers and carriers.
• Perform facilities livestock accounting functions.
• Cross-train within the accounting dept.
• Meet departmental deadlines as required.
• Complete special projects as needed.
• Full-time, Saturday work as required.
• Other tasks to ensure accounting department efficiency.
