Job summary

IDEA Public Schools’ IDEA Academy seeks an exceptional teacher to deliver rigorous, data-driven instruction aligned with state standards. You will plan and deliver purposeful lessons, assess progress toward goals, and engage students and families weekly in a high-energy, college-ready environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and K-12 classroom experience; Reading Academies certification for K-3 or TX training is preferred, with bilingual support valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Reading Academies certification for K-3 teachers or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred; ESL/content certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain consistent behavior management aligned to campus initiatives.
