Job summary

A marine vessel design and construction company is seeking a dedicated Electronic Technician with at least 5 years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for laying out, building, testing, installing, troubleshooting, and modifying electrical and electronic components. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electronic Technician.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical docs.
• Familiar with applicable commercial and Government specifications and codes.
• Knowledge of startup, testing, troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electrical Engineer.
• Develops sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
• Assembles circuitry, performs terminations or conducts testing according to engineering instructions.
• Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
• Sets up standard test apparatus to conduct functional and operational tests.
• Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components.
• Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics.
• Checks functioning of newly installed equipment in vessels and structures.

Skills

We are seeking a dedicated Electronic Technician with at least 5 years of experience as an Electronic Technician. The candidate will lay out, build, test, install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical and electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.

• Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations
• Checks functioning of newly installed equipment in vessels and structures to evaluate system performance under actual operating condition
