Job summary

Mondi plc is seeking a Press Shift Supervisor to lead press room operations on a 12‑hour rotating shift, ensuring safe, efficient production and high quality output. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, process control, and continuous improvement while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in printing/packaging manufacturing, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a printing or packaging manufacturing environment.
• Strong supervisory skills and leadership ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with production reporting systems.
• Knowledge of current printing technologies and ink systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotating shift employees performing complex printing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Assign daily work and ensure production schedules are executed efficiently.
• Verify work orders and coordinate material requirements with warehouse personnel.
• Monitor process control indicators and address deviations to maintain product quality.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues and coordinate maintenance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, vacation coverage, and daily workforce allocation.
• Train, coach, and support new employees and temporary workers.
