Job summary

Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Machine Operator to operate, maintain and troubleshoot production line equipment at our Atlanta-Main facility. Starting hourly rate is $24.63 with shift differential, on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.

You will ensure lines run efficiently with minimal downtime while adhering to safety practices. Your role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams to meet SOPs, GMPs, and 5S

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of machine operator experience in manufacturing; 3+ years preferred.
• A resume is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and call out minor mechanical repairs.
• Mechanical skills are highly preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and processes; familiarity with SOPs, GMPs, 5S, WCM.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
• Military/veteran experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move in production areas for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and ensure proper setup and maintenance.
• Perform changeovers following established procedures.
• Repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical skills.
• Identify and resolve quality problems to meet standards.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and parts; order replacements as needed.
• Assist with improvements and equipment installations with engineering.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA/Clorox standards.
• Document maintenance work per procedures.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on equipment.
