Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a machine operator at our Atlanta-West facility to run, monitor, and troubleshoot winding equipment, ensuring quality output with minimal downtime. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to GMP guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Starting hourly rate is $24.63 with a skill-based pay system and overtime on rotating day and night shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor winding equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform machine startups, changeovers, adjustments, and shutdowns as required.
• Monitor production parameters including temperatures, pressures, speeds, and material flow to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Inspect finished products for quality defects and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Accurately complete production paperwork, quality checks, and downtime documentation.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make minor equipment adjustments to minimize downtime.
• Load raw materials and packaging supplies as needed to maintain continuous production.
• Remove scrap and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
• Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, and quality deviations to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities and equipment cleaning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
