Job summary

GK Packaging, Inc., located in Washington Court House, OH, is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift. You will supervise a 12-hour operation, lead a team of operators, and drive on-time production with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires strong leadership potential, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to train on packaging equipment. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or lead/assistant lead role preferred (willing to train candidates with strong leadership traits).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn packaging equipment and processes.
• Excellent communication, reliability, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage shift conflict effectively.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs on a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and motivate shift operators and material handlers across a 12-hour schedule to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Production Operations: Oversee packaging lines and machinery from 7 AM to 7 PM to meet daily output schedules and delivery targets.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards, plant rules, and proper PPE protocols; conduct daily safety walk-throughs and shift briefings.
• Quality Control: Monitor product quality during shift runs to ensure customer specifications are met; report and address defects promptly.
• Operational Training: Participate in comprehensive hands-on supervisor training on packaging machinery, line management, and team leadership.
• Shift Handover & Reporting: Track shift metrics (output, downtime) and complete smooth handovers with the incoming evening shift leadership.
