Job summary

GoFasti is seeking an English-fluent Cost Segregation Project Engineer, based in Latin America and available to work remotely. The role requires engineering background, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex asset evaluations for clients worldwide.

You will conduct remote property assessments, prepare detailed cost reports, and collaborate with clients and sales teams to ensure accurate, timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year engineering or technical degree is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications.
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Experience with cost estimation sources to determine costs is preferred.
• Prior cost segregation, tax consulting, or similar fields are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed cost segregation reports with preliminary research, file review, and engagement confirmations.
• Conduct remote property assessments and review building assets documentation.
• Enter building assets into spreadsheets and draft property descriptions; produce complete reports in Word.
• Coordinate with management to review reports for accuracy and communicate with clients.

• Create detailed cost segregation reports, including preliminary research, file review, and confirming engagement agreements.
• Conduct comprehensive remote property assessments, reviewing documentation of building assets and common areas.
• Enter building assets into spreadsheets, write property descriptions, and produce complete reports in Word.
• Work with management to review reports for accuracy and communicate with clients.
• Collect and analyze client property data, review supporting documentation, and carry out multi-step assessment processes remotely.
• Keep clear, proactive communication with the sales team and clients, and resolve issues promptly.
• Solve unique project challenges while keeping a high level of accuracy and detail.
• Take part in staff meetings, technical sessions, and training opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum four-year engineering or technical degree.
• Mechanical or electrical engineers are the ideal candidates, who have done estimating before.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple tasks with careful attention to detail.
• Able to classify building utility system components based on how they are used in the facility.
• Able to use industry-standard cost estimation sources to determine the cost of building and site components.
• Client-focused: timely, high-quality service that meets or exceeds expectations.
• It's a plus: Prior experience in cost segregation, tax consulting, or a similar technical field.
• Interest in a personalized, hands-on approach to tax consulting.
• Experience conducting property assessments and documenting building assets using architectural plans, photographs, and other supporting documentation.

Compensation and Contract

The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $4,000 - $6,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset. This position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform. The talent will work remotely allocated at our client.
