HireLatam is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant to support a US civil engineering client in a multi-company environment from a Latin American location. The role entails reviewing general ledger, reconciling bank and credit card transactions, and managing intercompany processes, all from home.

The position is full-time, remote, with a monthly salary of $2,500 to $3,000. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience and an accredited accounting degree.

Qualifications

• Proven general accounting experience, minimum 3 years.
• Working in a multicompany environment is a plus.
• Prior experience working for US companies.
• Accounting degree from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Review general ledger accounts for monthly and quarterly closeouts.
• Code and reconcile bank and credit card transactions (500-800 transactions a month).
• Manage the internal credit card expense tracking application (FYLE) for 3 companies.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions (7 companies).
• Assist with Certified Payroll processing (experience is a plus but we will train).
• Record daily cash transactions.
• Assist with closing the books for multiple entities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Assist with equipment purchase transactions and multi-software environment usage.

Job Title: Remote Staff Accountant ( 100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary : $2,500 - 3,000 USD /month paid via bank transfer or Thera

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m Eastern Time

Job Overview:

Our client is a leading civil engineering and construction management firm based in Northern Virginia, serving both public and private sector clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The company specializes in site development, utilities, roadway construction, and infrastructure improvements, providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions from design through project completion. Their team is dedicated to technical excellence, client satisfaction, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Review general ledger accounts for monthly and quarterly closeouts.
• Code and reconcile bank and credit card transactions (500-800 transactions a month), multiple credit cards.

Hardware Requirements

• PC computer and 2 monitors.
• A device with a minimum of 16GB RAM
• A Windows-based device (no Mac computers)
• Stable, reliable internet and a consistent, dedicated work setup at all times

Other requirements relevant to the client:

• Frequent travel or relocation should be discouraged unless they can guarantee strong connectivity
