Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1+ years of drafting or related experience.
• Drafting and 3D modeling skills; ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal follow-up once trained.
• Professional conduct, including appropriate language, strong time management, and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Draft and model tooling, tool layouts, and fixture drawings for newly purchased machines and processes.
• Support tool design engineering with drawings and 3D models, expanding drafting capabilities.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with layouts and documentation for new machine acquisitions.
• Convert supplier drawings to company drafting standards.
• Review and align on work priorities with the manager.
• Occasional access to the factory floor.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Drafter supports a team of Manufacturing Engineers by producing the drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation needed to bring new manufacturing equipment and processes online. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands‑on drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and model tooling, tool layouts, and fixture drawings for newly purchased machines and processes
• Support tool design engineering with drawings and 3D models, expanding the group's tool design drafting capabilities
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with layouts and with the development and validation of technical documentation for new machine acquisitions
• Convert supplier drawings to company drafting standards
• Review and align on work priorities with the manager
• Occasional access to the factory floor
