Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Pontiac, IL is seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join our team. The role supports Manufacturing Engineers by producing drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation to bring new equipment online.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on drafting experience in a manufacturing environment with benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and more. Salary expectations range from 35,000 to 38,000 annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1+ years of drafting or related experience.
• Drafting and 3D modeling skills; ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal follow-up once trained.
• Professional conduct, including appropriate language, strong time management, and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Draft and model tooling, tool layouts, and fixture drawings for newly purchased machines and processes.
• Support tool design engineering with drawings and 3D models, expanding drafting capabilities.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with layouts and documentation for new machine acquisitions.
• Convert supplier drawings to company drafting standards.
• Review and align on work priorities with the manager.
• Occasional access to the factory floor.
