About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support complex, high-impact infrastructure and power generation projects. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, customer support, and external partners, playing a critical role in translating complex technical requirements into precise construction and installation drawings.

In this position, you’ll contribute directly to large-scale machine foundation and power generation installations by producing high-quality CAD drawings that enable accurate quoting, fabrication, and execution. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and customers, ensuring all designs meet strict technical and regulatory standards. If you enjoy working with detailed technical data and thrive in highly collaborative engineering environments, this role offers meaningful and visible impact.

Projects You’ll Work On
  • Machine foundation layouts for power generation and industrial equipment
  • Construction drawings supporting large-scale, technically complex installations
  • Detailed kit, fabrication, and shop drawings used for quoting and execution
  • As-built documentation and revision-controlled drawing packages
  • Cross-functional design coordination with internal engineers and external engineering teams
What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Creating precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Revit and AutoCAD (SolidWorks and other tools as applicable)
  • Developing fully detailed plans that include dimensions, materials, tolerances, and construction notes
  • Reviewing, updating, and revising drawings throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Managing drawing files, version control, and structured documentation systems
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, project managers, and customers to clarify technical requirements
  • Ensuring all deliverables comply with industry standards, internal guidelines, and applicable regulations—particularly within power generation and machine foundation design
  • Supporting field measurements or site visits when needed to validate design inputs
  • Identifying potential design conflicts or risks and proactively communicating them to the project team
  • Assisting with as-built documentation, fabrication details, and shop drawings
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and internal workflows
What Experience You Should Bring
  • Strong proficiency with CAD platforms, specifically Revit and AutoCAD (required)
  • Solid understanding of technical drawing standards, drafting principles, and best practices
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and complex technical documentation
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Working knowledge of architectural, mechanical, or civil engineering concepts
Education & Professional Background
  • Certificate, diploma, or associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of professional CAD drafting experience (entry-level candidates with strong education or training may also be considered)
  • Prior experience in power generation, foundation construction, manufacturing, or engineering-driven environments is highly preferred
  • Office-based role with occasional site visits based on project needs
  • Standard business hours with flexibility for project-driven deadlines
  • Daily work performed using CAD software on a dedicated workstation
How Success Is Measured
  • Accuracy, clarity, and consistency of produced drawings
  • Timely delivery of project milestones
  • Compliance with drafting standards and technical specifications
  • Effectiveness of collaboration and communication across teams
