Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a full-time Hot Mix Operator at the Wayland, MI facility. You will support the Production team by weighing ingredients, ordering additions to the blender, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring blending operations run smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and a track record of following GMP, SOP, HACCP, LOTO, and food safety programs. The role offers 2nd shift with differential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to correctly weigh ingredients in grams and pounds.
• Must understand the importance of adding ingredients to blender in the proper order.
• Must be able to learn all blending operations for all products.
• Must be able to keep accurate records.
• Must be able to blend at a rate to keep the drying operations going.
• Must be able to CIP and clean related blending equipment.
• Must be able to perform related jobs and other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift fifty (50)-plus pounds.
• Must comply with GMP’s, SOPs, HACCP, LOTO and foods safety programs.

About the Role

The Hot Mix Operator at the Wayland location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Must be able to correctly weigh ingredients in both grams and pounds.
• Must understand the importance of adding ingredients to blender in the proper order.
• Must be able to learn all blending operations for all products.
• Must be able to keep accurate records.
• Must be able to blend at a rate, which will keep the drying operations going.
• Must be able to C.I.P. and clean related blending equipment.
• Must be able to perform related jobs and other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift fifty (50)-plus (+) pounds.
• Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.

Important Details

This is a full-time position on 2nd shift working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. 2nd shift operates 4pm to 12am. Shift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shift.

About You

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience with operating a sit-down forklift.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends.
